Summary: ChronoPulse is designed with an offline-first architecture. We do not require account registration, and we do not collect or store your personal time logs, alarms, or stopwatch splits on external servers.
1. Information We Collect & Process
ChronoPulse functions primarily as an offline utility application. The types of data managed by the app include:
- Local Application Data: Your alarms, custom labels, timer durations, sound preferences, and stopwatch split intervals are stored locally on your device using an encrypted local SQLite/Room database. This data never leaves your device.
- No Personal Account Required: We do not require email sign-ups, passwords, names, or contact lists to use any feature of ChronoPulse.
2. Third-Party Services & Advertising
ChronoPulse displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob (a service provided by Google LLC). Google AdMob may collect and process certain non-personally identifiable diagnostic data and advertising identifiers in accordance with Google's policies:
- Google Advertising ID (GAID / AAID)
- Device identifiers, operating system version, and general network telemetry
- Ad performance metrics and coarse location for ad targeting

3. Android Device Permissions
To deliver precise chronometer timing and alarm notifications, ChronoPulse requests the following Android permissions:
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Required on Android 13+ to show active countdown timer banners and sound alarm alerts.
- SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM: Enables high-precision scheduling for user-configured alarms via the Android AlarmManager system service.
- WAKE_LOCK: Ensures the alarm overlay and ringtone wake the screen and trigger reliably even if your device is in Doze / sleep mode.
- VIBRATE: Provides tactile haptic feedback on button presses and vibrating alarm patterns.
- INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used exclusively by the Google Mobile Ads SDK to serve advertisements.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
Because all alarms, timer presets, and lap histories reside exclusively in your device's internal storage, you maintain total control over your data:
- Clearing the app's cache and data via Android Settings permanently removes all stored presets.
- Uninstalling the app immediately and permanently deletes all locally retained records.
5. Children’s Privacy
ChronoPulse does not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe any such data has been inadvertently collected through third-party advertising, please contact us so we can take appropriate measures.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. Any updates will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" timestamp.
